DESCRIPTION
This is the first level of mandatory training for anyone wanting to become a licensed security patrol guard in the Province of BC. It covers all of the basic security guard duties set out in the 40 hour Canadian General Standards Board guidelines for security guard training in BC. It also covers the applicable B.C. statutes and regulations with which security guards need to be familiar and comply. Students who successfully complete both Basic Security Training (BST) will be eligible to receive a provincial issued certificate of training completion.
